Inclusion at Lea Valley Academy The Inclusion Department is responsible for the co-ordination, design, provision, and statutory compliance in relation to SEND. At Lea Valley, Inclusion works in close partnership with all other areas of the School, with close guidance and line management from the Senior Leadership Team.
Our Vision and Belief
Lea Valley Academy is a richly diverse, inclusive school where there are high expectations for the achievement of all students including SEND. We ensure that:
- All students with SEND study the full national curriculum
- All students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum
- All teachers set high expectations for every student, whatever their prior attainment
- All teachers use appropriate assessments and set ambitious targets
- There is high quality teaching and work is differentiated for individual students
- Reviews are regularly taking place for all students including SEND and those at risk of underachievement.
